Job Description

1. Determine normal and abnormal components of body fluids
2. Conduct chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids and gastric juices
3. Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying cells
4. Use microscopic techniques and procedures
5. Prepare blood, plasma and platelets for transfusions
6. Conserve laboratory resources by using equipment and supplies as needed
7. Provide medical technology information by answering questions and requests
8. Prepare reports of technological findings by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
