Job Description: Urologists are specialized physicians who diagnose, treat, and manage diseases and conditions of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. This includes organs such as the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, and male reproductive organs. Urologists are trained to perform both medical and surgical treatments, depending on the patient’s condition.

Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat conditions related to the urinary tract and male reproductive system, including but not limited to urinary tract infections, kidney stones, bladder issues, prostate conditions, and male infertility.
Perform surgical procedures to treat cancers of the urinary and reproductive systems, congenital abnormalities, and obstructions.
Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, such as urine tests, ultrasounds, and biopsies.
Offer patient counseling on urologic conditions and preventive measures.
Prescribe medication and manage patient follow-up and rehabilitation.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide multidisciplinary care.

Education Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in urology.
Board certification in urology.
State medical license to practice.
Excellent manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for surgical procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient care.

May take on leadership roles within hospital departments or professional organizations to influence policy and practice standards.
Engages in community outreach and education to raise awareness about urological health and prevention.
