Job Description: The Assistant Billing Manager plays a crucial role in the finance or accounts department, focusing on overseeing the billing operations to ensure accurate and timely invoicing of clients or customers. This position supports the Billing Manager in managing the billing team, implementing billing processes, and resolving any billing-related issues. The role is critical for maintaining cash flow and customer satisfaction through efficient billing practices.
Key Responsibilities: Billing Process Management: Assist in overseeing the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of invoices and statements to customers.
Customer Queries: Handle customer billing inquiries and disputes, providing high-quality customer service to resolve issues promptly.
Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies and legal requirements. Review billing documents for accuracy and completeness.
Reporting and Analysis: Support the Billing Manager in preparing billing reports and analyses for management, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
Team Supervision: Assist in supervising the billing team, including training and development, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all billing activities.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance billing accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales, customer service, and accounting, to ensure a seamless billing process and resolve any cross-departmental issues.

Education Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar role, including experience with customer service and dispute resolution.
Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills, proficiency in billing and accounting software, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Certifications: While not typically required, certifications related to billing, accounting, or finance can be advantageous.
