Job Description: The Registrar in Surgical Services is responsible for managing patient care in the surgical department. This role involves coordinating with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient operation of the surgical suite, maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records, and assisting in surgical procedures as needed.

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate the scheduling of surgeries and manage the surgical calendar to optimize operating room utilization.
Assist in surgical procedures, providing technical support and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in proper working condition.
Maintain detailed records of patient care, surgery details, and post-operative outcomes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and protocols in the surgical environment.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate the services provided in the surgical department.
Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with the latest surgical techniques and safety protocols.
Manage the consent forms and ensure that patients are well-informed about the surgical procedures.
Provide support and assistance in emergency situations within the surgical department.
Monitor patient recovery post-surgery and assist in planning follow-up care.
Participate in audits and reviews to continuously improve the quality of care in the surgical department.

Education Qualifications: Medical degree with a specialization in surgery or related field.
Valid medical license and certification to practice in the region.
Additional certification in surgical services management or related fields is preferred.
