Job Description: A Junior Consultant or Associate Consultant Neurosurgeon is a specialized medical professional in the early stages of their consultancy career, focused on the surgical treatment of disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. This role requires meticulous surgical skills, keen diagnostic abilities, and collaboration with senior neurosurgeons and other medical staff to provide optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in Surgical Procedures: Actively assist senior neurosurgeons during complex surgical procedures, gaining expertise in advanced neurosurgical techniques.
Patient Evaluation: Participate in the preoperative evaluation of patients, including reviewing medical history and planning appropriate surgical interventions.
Postoperative Care: Monitor patients’ recovery post-surgery, addressing complications and coordinating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Medical Diagnostics: Utilize advanced imaging techniques and neurological tests to diagnose conditions and track treatment progress.
Research Participation: Engage in clinical research projects to explore innovative treatments and improve existing neurosurgical procedures.
Educational Commitments: Contribute to the training of medical students and residents by providing guidance and sharing knowledge in clinical settings.
Emergency Duties: Respond to neurosurgical emergencies, providing immediate care and surgical intervention as required under the supervision of senior consultants.

Education Qualifications: Medical degree with a specialization in neurosurgery.
Completion of a residency in neurosurgery.
Certification or eligibility for board certification in neurosurgery.
Experience as a resident or fellow in neurosurgery with exposure to a variety of neurosurgical procedures.
Valid and active medical license.
