Job Description: The Raw Material Handler is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing raw materials used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role ensures that all materials are handled in compliance with regulatory standards, stored under appropriate conditions, and accurately recorded to support production schedules and maintain inventory integrity.
Key Responsibilities: Receiving Materials: Accept incoming shipments of raw materials, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or non-conformance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of received, stored, and issued materials, including batch numbers and expiry dates, in compliance with GMP guidelines.
Storage: Ensure proper storage of raw materials under controlled environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, to preserve quality.
Inventory Management: Assist in regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy.
Material Issuance: Accurately pick and issue raw materials to production teams based on manufacturing orders.
Compliance: Adhere to GMP, WHO-GMP, and GDP standards while handling raw materials.
Safety Practices: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE, to prevent contamination and ensure personal and product safety.
Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as required.
Waste Management: Safely dispose of expired or non-conforming materials according to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless material flow.
Education Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Certification or training in warehouse management or material handling.
Experience: Prior experience in material handling, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment, is desirable.
