Job Description: A Radiologist is a medical doctor specialized in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques, such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET), and ultrasound.

Key Responsibilities: Interpret and evaluate patient images to diagnose illnesses and injuries.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other medical staff to discuss treatment plans.
Provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to referring physicians.
Ensure the quality of imaging services and adherence to safety standards.
Supervise radiologic technologists and other department staff in medical imaging practices.
Consult with patients to explain the process and results of imaging studies.
Implement and oversee the administration of radioactive materials.
Participate in training residents, medical students, and other new healthcare providers.
Conduct or participate in research studies involving medical imaging.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in radiologic science and technology.

Education Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Completion of a residency in radiology.
Board certification in Radiology.
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment.
Proficient in using various medical imaging technologies.
