Lab Technician

The Lab Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of pharmaceutical products through accurate testing and data analysis. This position supports manufacturing, quality control, and research activities, contributing to the organization’s commitment to product safety and regulatory compliance.

The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyses, and experiments to support quality control, research, and manufacturing processes in a pharmaceutical facility. This role involves handling equipment, recording data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and safety.

Sample Preparation: Collect and prepare samples for analysis in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Analytical Testing: Perform routine and non-routine tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and microbiological methods.
Equipment Operation: Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Documentation: Record and maintain test results, observations, and laboratory reports accurately as per regulatory requirements.
Quality Compliance: Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to GMP, WHO-GMP, and regulatory standards.
Safety Protocols: Follow laboratory safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling hazardous materials safely.
Troubleshooting: Identify and report equipment or testing issues and assist in resolving them.
Environmental Monitoring: Conduct environmental monitoring tests to ensure the cleanliness and sterility of manufacturing areas.
Method Validation: Assist in the validation of analytical methods and testing protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with quality assurance, production, and R&D teams to support organizational objectives.

Minimum Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
Preferred: Certification in laboratory techniques or specialized training in analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, GC).
Experience: Prior experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory setting is advantageous.
