Job Description
The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyses, and experiments to support quality control, research, and manufacturing processes in a pharmaceutical facility. This role involves handling equipment, recording data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Sample Preparation: Collect and prepare samples for analysis in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Analytical Testing: Perform routine and non-routine tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and microbiological methods.
Equipment Operation: Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Documentation: Record and maintain test results, observations, and laboratory reports accurately as per regulatory requirements.
Quality Compliance: Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to GMP, WHO-GMP, and regulatory standards.
Safety Protocols: Follow laboratory safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling hazardous materials safely.
Troubleshooting: Identify and report equipment or testing issues and assist in resolving them.
Environmental Monitoring: Conduct environmental monitoring tests to ensure the cleanliness and sterility of manufacturing areas.
Method Validation: Assist in the validation of analytical methods and testing protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with quality assurance, production, and R&D teams to support organizational objectives.
