Accountant

The Accountant ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the organization’s compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is integral in tracking financial performance, managing costs, and contributing to informed decision-making within the pharmaceutical industry.

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. In the pharmaceutical industry, the Accountant handles cost accounting, inventory management, and regulatory financial reporting, contributing to the organization’s financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
General Ledger Management: Prepare and manage journal entries, ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws.
Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze production costs, overheads, and inventory to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical industry financial regulations and standards.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections.
Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
Budget Monitoring: Track and report actual expenditures against budgets, identifying variances.
ERP System Usage: Use accounting software or ERP systems for financial management and reporting.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree or certifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
Experience: Prior experience in accounting roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors.
