Education and Counseling: Educate patients and their families about kidney health, disease management, dietary recommendations, and lifestyle modifications.
Research and Development: Engage in research to discover new treatments and therapies for kidney diseases and contribute to the broader medical knowledge in nephrology.

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, followed by a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology.
Licensure: Must possess a valid medical license in the state of practice.
Certification: Board certification in nephrology by the relevant medical board is required.
