The Senior Histopathologist is responsible for conducting and supervising advanced histopathological diagnostic tests, interpreting tissue samples, and providing crucial insights to aid in patient care.
This role involves mentoring junior staff, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and contributing to research and innovation in histopathology.

Tissue Analysis: Perform and supervise advanced histopathological examinations of tissue samples, including biopsies and surgical specimens.
Diagnostic Interpretation: Analyze and interpret findings to provide accurate and timely diagnoses to clinicians.
Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and reliability in test results.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all diagnostic procedures adhere to NABL, CAP, ISO, and other relevant regulatory standards.
Mentoring: Train and guide junior histopathologists and laboratory technicians to develop their skills and expertise.
Immunohistochemistry: Conduct and validate immunohistochemical studies for precise disease characterization.
Reporting: Prepare detailed diagnostic reports and communicate findings effectively to clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Equipment Maintenance: Supervise the maintenance and calibration of histopathology laboratory equipment.
Research: Participate in or lead research initiatives to develop and adopt innovative diagnostic techniques in histopathology.
Collaboration: Work closely with pathologists, oncologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive diagnostic insights.

Minimum Requirements: MBBS with MD or DNB in Pathology.
Preferred: Certifications or advanced training in specialized histopathological techniques, such as Immunohistochemistry or Molecular Pathology.
Experience: Significant experience in histopathology diagnostics, with expertise in interpreting complex cases and mentoring junior staff.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting complex tissue samples and identifying abnormalities.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in diagnostic testing and reporting.
Leadership: Ability to mentor and guide junior staff effectively.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for reporting and collaboration with clinicians.
Problem-Solving: Capacity to address diagnostic and operational challenges.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards in histopathology laboratories.
