Diagnosis of Cardiac Conditions Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and evaluate heart and circulatory system diseases in young patients.
Management of Heart Diseases Develop and oversee the implementation of treatment plans for congenital and acquired heart conditions in children.
Preventive Cardiology Advise on lifestyle modifications and preventive measures to manage risk factors for pediatric heart disease.
Procedural Interventions Perform non-invasive procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations, when necessary for diagnosis or treatment.
Collaborative Care Work closely with pediatricians, pediatric cardiac surgeons, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Family Support and Education Offer guidance and support to families, helping them understand their child's heart condition and treatment plan.

Education: Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, followed by a pediatric residency and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology.
Licensing/Certification: Must be licensed to practice medicine in the jurisdiction of employment. Board certification in pediatric cardiology is also required.
Experience: In-depth experience and specialized training in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of heart conditions in children.

Empathy and Compassion: Ability to provide care with sensitivity and understanding, particularly to young patients and their families.
Attention to Detail: Skill in detecting subtle symptoms and changes in a child’s health that could indicate heart problems.
Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities to effectively convey complex medical information to families and children in an understandable manner.
Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing complex cases and developing appropriate treatment plans.
Teamwork: Collaboration with healthcare professionals across disciplines to ensure holistic care for pediatric patients.
