Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance abuse disorders.
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medication.
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess the mental health condition and needs of patients.
Provide psychotherapy and counsel patients on mental health, behavioral issues, and lifestyle adjustments.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, and primary care physicians, to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

A Medical Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a specialization in psychiatry.
Completion of a psychiatric residency program.
Board certification in psychiatry.
State medical license to practice psychiatry.

Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions.
Empathy and excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with patients.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions based on a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.
