The Director of Critical Care is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and clinical functions of the Critical Care Unit.
This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
The Director collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, support staff development, and optimize departmental performance.

Provide leadership and administrative direction for all aspects of Critical Care services.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols that promote clinical excellence and patient safety.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation in alignment with organizational goals.
Serve as a liaison between the Critical Care Unit and other hospital departments, physicians, and executive leadership.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional development among staff.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
Lead emergency preparedness and crisis management strategies relevant to intensive care settings.
Implement and evaluate technology, equipment, and systems that support clinical and operational efficiency.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Critical Care Nursing Certification (e.g., CCRN) or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a critical care or ICU environment.
