Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks in patient rooms, operating rooms, offices, and public areas, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe disposal of hazardous waste.
Supply Management: Restock supplies such as hand sanitizers, soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in assigned areas to ensure availability.
Equipment Cleaning: Clean and sanitize medical equipment and instruments according to established procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
Waste Management: Properly collect, handle, and dispose of regular, recyclable, and medical waste in accordance with facility policies and health regulations.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines related to chemical use, heavy lifting, and equipment operation to prevent accidents and injuries.
Inspections and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to management.

Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No specific higher education required, but certification in infection control can be an asset.
Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is beneficial, especially within a healthcare setting. Training will typically be provided on the job.
Skills: Knowledge of cleaning techniques and infection control practices. Ability to use cleaning equipment and handle chemicals safely. Good physical stamina and mobility.
Certifications: While not mandatory, certifications related to healthcare environmental services or infection control can enhance employment prospects.
