Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities and equipment comply with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and ethical practices.
Collaboration and Communication: Serve as the liaison between the biomedical engineering department and other healthcare departments, ensuring clear communication and coordination for equipment needs, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of medical equipment and spare parts, including the procurement and disposition of biomedical devices.
Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that biomedical equipment is reliable and safe for patient care.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in developing and managing the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and procurement of equipment and services.
Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to staff on the correct use of medical equipment, emphasizing safety and efficiency.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field. Advanced degrees or certifications can be beneficial.
Experience: Several years of experience in biomedical engineering, with a proven track record of supervising a team and managing medical equipment.
Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, in-depth knowledge of medical devices and equipment, excellent problem-solving and communication abilities, and proficiency in regulatory standards.
Certifications: Certification in a relevant area, such as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), may be preferred.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of biomedical equipment and technologies, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly.
