Job Description: The Blood Bank Supervisor oversees the operations of the blood bank facility, ensuring efficient collection, processing, storage, and distribution of blood products. They manage a team to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and promote a safe, effective working environment.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations including donor screening, blood collection, component preparation, and testing.
Ensure accurate labeling, storage, and distribution of blood products to meet patient needs.
Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
Train and mentor staff on proper procedures and safety protocols.
Implement quality assurance measures and regulatory compliance.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB).
Minimum 3 years of experience in blood banking, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of blood bank operations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff and donors.
