Job Description: The Boiler Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of steam boilers and auxiliary equipment to ensure a consistent supply of steam for manufacturing processes. The role involves maintaining equipment efficiency, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: Boiler Operation: Operate steam boilers and auxiliary equipment, including feed water pumps, air compressors, and condensate recovery systems.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections of boilers, ensuring their optimal functioning.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and protocols for boiler operation, minimizing risks of accidents or malfunctions.
Monitoring: Continuously monitor boiler parameters, such as pressure, temperature, and water levels, to maintain efficiency and safety.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to avoid downtime.
Fuel Management: Manage fuel supply and consumption to ensure uninterrupted boiler operation.
Documentation: Maintain logs of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local boiler operation regulations and certifications.
Emergency Handling: Respond to emergencies such as boiler shutdowns, leaks, or pressure anomalies.
Collaboration: Work with maintenance and production teams to align boiler operations with manufacturing needs.
Education Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Certification in Boiler Operation from a recognized institute or authority.
Licensure: Must hold a valid Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) certification as per the Indian Boiler Act, where applicable.
Experience: Prior experience in operating and maintaining industrial boilers is preferred.
