Job Description: The Clinical Coordinator is a key administrative and clinical support role within healthcare settings, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a clinic or department. This individual coordinates patient care activities, schedules staff, and manages daily administrative tasks. The role is pivotal in linking the clinical and administrative functions, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, procedures, and ensuring necessary preparations are made.
Act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and other departments to facilitate communication and ensure comprehensive care.
Assist in the development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of care.
Monitor inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and managing orders when necessary.
Assist with staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for all operational hours and managing time-off requests.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives by collecting and analyzing data related to patient care and clinic operations.
Provide support in managing patient records, ensuring they are accurate, confidential, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
Assist in the training and orientation of new staff, ensuring they are familiar with clinic procedures and policies.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field, with relevant certifications as required (e.g., RN, LPN).
Experience in a clinical setting, with a strong understanding of healthcare procedures and regulations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and communicating effectively with all levels of staff and patients.
Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR).
