Job Description: A Consultant in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) is a senior medical professional specializing in diagnosing and surgically treating diseases and conditions of the heart, lungs, esophagus, and vascular system. This role involves providing expert clinical care, leading surgical procedures, and contributing to the advancement of the CTVS department through research, teaching, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and manage complex cardiothoracic and vascular conditions.
Perform advanced surgical procedures, including open-heart surgery, lung resections, and vascular reconstructions.
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, nurses, and support staff.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and diagnostic results.
Collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participate in and contribute to clinical research and academic activities.
Ensure adherence to best practices, clinical guidelines, and healthcare regulations.
Provide education and training to medical students, residents, and fellows.
Participate in departmental and hospital committees, contributing to strategic planning and policy development.
Conduct follow-up assessments and manage post-operative care for patients.

Education Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.
Board certification in Cardiothoracic and/or Vascular Surgery.
Extensive experience in performing complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures.
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
