Job Description: The Dental Surgeon specializes in performing advanced dental procedures and surgeries, including complex extractions, implants, and corrective oral surgery. This role involves diagnosing and treating oral conditions requiring surgical intervention while adhering to Indian Dental Council standards and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Surgical Procedures: Perform dental surgeries such as wisdom tooth extractions, implant placements, jaw surgeries, and gum grafting.
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough examinations and diagnostic tests to evaluate oral and maxillofacial conditions.
Treatment Planning: Develop customized surgical treatment plans based on patient needs and conditions.
Pre- and Post-Surgical Care: Provide guidance on pre-surgery preparations and post-surgery recovery, including medication and follow-ups.
Emergency Interventions: Address dental emergencies, including trauma and severe infections requiring surgical care.
Collaboration: Work closely with general dentists, orthodontists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols.
Record Management: Document surgical procedures, patient progress, and treatment outcomes accurately.
Continuing Education: Stay updated on advancements in dental surgery techniques and technologies.
Patient Education: Educate patients on treatment options, potential risks, and recovery plans.
Education Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution approved by the Dental Council of India.
Preferred: Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or a related specialty.
Licensure: Valid registration with the State Dental Council in India.
