Job Description: The Dermatology Department Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the administrative and operational efficiency of the dermatology department. This position is responsible for coordinating daily activities, managing schedules, facilitating communication between staff and patients, and supporting the department’s administrative needs. The coordinator ensures smooth departmental operations by assisting with patient flow, maintaining records, and providing support for both clinical and non-clinical departmental functions.

Key Responsibilities: Scheduling and Appointments Manage and coordinate schedules for physicians, including patient appointments, surgeries, and departmental meetings, ensuring optimal use of resources.
Patient Coordination Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff, assisting with patient inquiries, appointment bookings, and follow-up communications.
Administrative Support: Perform administrative duties such as document management, data entry, preparing reports, and maintaining departmental records.
Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the department and with other departments, ensuring that information is disseminated efficiently and accurately.
Supply Management: Coordinate the procurement and management of supplies, equipment, and medication inventory, ensuring that the department is well-stocked and operational.
Compliance and Quality Control: Assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, participating in quality control initiatives to improve patient care and departmental efficiency.
Financial Administration: Support budgeting and billing processes by compiling financial information, managing expense reports, and liaising with the finance department.
Patient Records Management: Ensure that patient records are accurately maintained and securely stored, complying with confidentiality and privacy regulations.

Education Qualifications: Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in an administrative or coordination role, is highly desirable.
Skills: Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office), electronic health record (EHR) systems, and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
