Patient Care: Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including taking vital signs and ensuring comfort.
Machine Operation: Set up and operate dialysis machines to ensure they function correctly, adjusting settings as needed based on patient needs.
Treatment Administration: Administer medications during dialysis and respond to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
Education: Teach patients and their families about kidney disease, dialysis treatment, and lifestyle changes to manage their condition effectively.
Collaboration: Work closely with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.

Education: Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing.
Licensure: Must hold a current registered nurse (RN) license.
Certification: Certification in nephrology nursing (CNN) or dialysis nursing (CDN) is highly valued and sometimes required.
