The EM Junior Resident is a postgraduate medical trainee responsible for delivering acute care to patients in the Emergency Department (ED) under the supervision of senior physicians.
The role provides hands-on clinical exposure, enhances diagnostic acumen, and develops emergency care skills through real-time patient management and participation in academic activities.

Perform initial assessments, history taking, and physical examinations for patients presenting to the ED.
Initiate appropriate investigations and management plans in collaboration with senior residents and consultants.
Assist in emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and trauma resuscitation.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical findings and treatment plans.
Participate in shift duties, ensuring 24/7 coverage of the Emergency Department.
Engage in clinical audits, mortality reviews, and other quality improvement initiatives.
Attend departmental teaching sessions, seminars, and simulations.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

MBBS or equivalent recognized medical degree.
Valid registration with the Medical Council (National/State).
Completion of internship with exposure to emergency or acute care settings preferred.
