Job Description: The ENT Department Coordinator is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department. This role involves administrative duties, coordination of patient services, support for clinical staff, and the efficient management of daily operations. The coordinator acts as a liaison among patients, healthcare providers, and other departments, ensuring effective communication and workflow to facilitate high-quality patient care and departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support Provide comprehensive administrative support to the ENT department, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence.
Patient Coordination Assist with patient scheduling, registration, and the coordination of appointments and procedures. Address patient inquiries and provide information on services offered within the department.
Medical Records Management Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of patient records, including filing, updating, and retrieving documents in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
Supply and Equipment Coordination Oversee the inventory of medical supplies and equipment. Coordinate the procurement and maintenance of necessary materials to support clinical operations.
Financial and Billing Support Assist with billing procedures, insurance verifications, and pre-authorizations. Support the department’s financial operations by tracking expenses and budget allocations.
Staff Support Serve as a point of contact for ENT department staff, facilitating communication and providing necessary administrative support to clinical and non-clinical personnel.
Compliance and Quality Improvement Support compliance with healthcare standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives by compiling data, generating reports, and coordinating departmental audits.
Liaison Role Act as a liaison between the ENT department and other departments within the healthcare facility, as well as with external partners, to ensure collaborative and integrated patient care.

Education Qualifications: Education: Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting with administrative duties. Experience in an ENT or similar department is advantageous.
Skills: Strong organizational, administrative, and computer skills, including proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
