The ER Coordinator is a key administrative and clinical support role responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Emergency Room (ER).
This role ensures smooth patient flow, coordinates between medical, nursing, and support teams, oversees documentation, and helps maintain compliance with protocols and quality standards.
The ER Coordinator acts as a bridge between clinical care delivery and operational efficiency.

Coordinate daily operations within the Emergency Department to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
Facilitate communication between physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff.
Monitor patient flow and bed availability; assist in minimizing delays and overcrowding.
Support triage, registration, and discharge processes to improve turnaround times.
Ensure proper documentation, including admission records, transfers, referrals, and reporting.
Assist with implementation of ER protocols, policies, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and coordinate maintenance of equipment.
Generate and analyze daily reports related to patient volume, case types, and workflow metrics.
Respond to patient and family queries with empathy and professionalism.
Participate in training, audits, and emergency drills as required by the department.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Allied Health Sciences (required).
GNM or B.Sc. Nursing (preferred for clinical-background coordinators).
Certification in Emergency Care, Hospital Administration, or Healthcare Management (advantageous).

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Familiarity with emergency department operations and hospital management systems.
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
Team player with leadership potential and a proactive mindset.
