Job Description: The Front Office Executive serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in healthcare and pathology laboratories. This role is responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations at the front desk while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Patient Reception: Greet and assist patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointments and coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to minimize wait times.
Patient Registration: Collect and verify patient information, including contact details, insurance, and medical history.
Payment Processing: Handle billing inquiries, process payments, and provide receipts.
Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate departments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, appointments, and transactions.
Technology Utilization: Use patient management software and other tools for scheduling, billing, and record-keeping.
Customer Service: Address patient concerns and provide information about laboratory services and procedures.
Coordination: Work closely with clinical and support staff to ensure seamless operations.
Compliance: Adhere to privacy regulations such as HIPAA and local healthcare standards for handling patient information.
Education Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Diploma or certification in customer service, healthcare management, or a related field.
Experience: Prior experience in front office or customer service roles, preferably in a healthcare or pathology laboratory setting.
