Job Description: Human Resources (HR) Assistants in the healthcare sector are integral team members who provide essential support to ensure the HR department functions smoothly. They perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks related to the daily operations of HR. Their role involves assisting with the hiring process, maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll processing, and providing general administrative support to the HR team. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties, including filing, document preparation, and maintenance of HR records.
Recruitment Support: Help with the recruitment process by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and preparing hiring documents.
Employee Records: Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure that they are securely stored and confidentially handled.
Payroll Assistance: Provide support in processing payroll, which may include verifying timesheets, updating payroll records, and addressing employee queries related to wages.
Benefits Administration: Assist employees with basic queries regarding benefits, and support the HR team in managing employee benefits programs.
Compliance: Help ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures and relevant legal regulations.
Onboarding and Training Support: Assist with the organization and implementation of onboarding programs for new employees and support logistical arrangements for training sessions.
Education Qualifications: Educational Background: High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
Experience: Prior administrative experience is beneficial, especially within an HR department. Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus but not required.
Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS; strong organizational and time management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
