Job Description: ICU Technicians/Assistants play a critical role in the healthcare ecosystem by providing essential support to intensive care units (ICUs). They assist healthcare professionals in monitoring and caring for critically ill patients, ensuring that they receive the necessary attention and treatment.
Key Responsibilities: Assisting healthcare professionals in performing medical procedures and treatments.
Monitoring patients’ vital signs and reporting any significant changes to the medical team.
Providing basic patient care, including bathing, feeding, and repositioning patients to prevent bedsores.
Operating and maintaining medical equipment used in the ICU.
Ensuring a clean and sterile environment in the ICU to prevent infections.
Assisting with patient transport within the hospital when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or training as a nursing assistant or medical assistant preferred.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
Physical stamina to lift and move patients and equipment.
Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
