Job Description: The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure and systems of the pharmaceutical organization, ensuring their reliability, security, and efficiency. This role involves managing IT operations, supporting digital transformation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for technology and data management in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities: IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases.
System Security: Ensure robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data, including patient information and intellectual property.
Software and Applications: Manage enterprise software, including ERP systems, CRM tools, and other applications critical to pharmaceutical operations.
Compliance: Ensure IT systems comply with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the IT team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of innovation.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring optimal service delivery.
Budget Management: Develop and monitor the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective investments in technology.
Support and Troubleshooting: Oversee IT support services, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues for end-users.
Digital Transformation: Drive digital initiatives, including cloud adoption, data analytics, and process automation.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Education Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree in IT Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Certifications: Industry certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) are advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience in IT management roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, with knowledge of industry-specific regulations.
