Job Description: The IVF Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments, offering medical support, emotional counseling, and assistance during various stages of in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. The role involves coordinating with physicians, embryologists, and other fertility specialists to ensure patient-centered care and optimal treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and related procedures.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses during treatment cycles.
Provide patient education on treatment protocols, medication schedules, and lifestyle guidance.
Offer emotional support and counseling throughout the IVF journey.
Maintain accurate patient records, treatment charts, and documentation.
Ensure infection control and safety standards in clinical and laboratory settings.
Collaborate with doctors, embryologists, and counselors for seamless patient care.
Prepare patients for procedures, explain risks, and obtain informed consent.
Monitor patients post-procedure and provide recovery care.
Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) or General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
Registered Nurse certification from a recognized nursing council.
Specialized training or certification in reproductive health, gynecology, or IVF nursing (preferred).
