Job Description: Junior Residents in Radiology play a fundamental role in providing diagnostic imaging services under the supervision of senior radiologists. They assist in interpreting medical images, performing procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation within the radiology department of a healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnostic Imaging: Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
Procedure Assistance: Assist senior radiologists during interventional procedures and imaging-guided treatments.
Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures, explaining procedures and obtaining informed consent when necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, imaging findings, and procedures performed.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control and assurance activities to maintain high standards of imaging accuracy and patient care.
Education Qualifications: Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completion of internship.
Registration or eligibility for registration with the local medical council.
Strong interest and knowledge in diagnostic radiology.
Basic understanding of radiology equipment and imaging techniques.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
