Job Description: Laboratory Technicians in IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) clinics play a crucial role in the fertility treatment process. They are responsible for handling and manipulating sperm, eggs, and embryos, ensuring that all laboratory procedures are conducted under strict clinical guidelines to maximize the success rate of fertility treatments.

Key Responsibilities: Specimen Handling: Collect, classify, and prepare sperm, eggs, and embryos for fertilization or cryopreservation.
Embryo Culturing: Monitor and manage the growth and development of embryos in the lab.
Microscopic Procedures: Perform intricate procedures such as ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), embryo biopsy, and assisted hatching under a microscope.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all laboratory equipment like microscopes, incubators, and cryopreservation systems are properly maintained and calibrated.
Quality Control: Implement and adhere to quality control measures to prevent contamination and ensure the viability of specimens.
Data Recording: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient samples, procedures, and outcomes.
Cryopreservation: Skilfully perform freezing and thawing procedures for sperm, eggs, and embryos.
Collaboration: Work closely with embryologists, andrologists, and other clinic staff to coordinate patient treatment plans.
Compliance and Safety: Follow all clinical safety guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
Research Support: Assist with research projects and clinical trials to improve IVF technologies and methodologies.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
Certification as a clinical laboratory technician with a specialization in embryology or reproductive technology (preferred).
Experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with specific training in IVF techniques.

Strong attention to detail and precision in carrying out laboratory procedures.
