Job Description: The Lead Radiologist serves as the senior clinical officer within the radiology department, primarily responsible for overseeing the diagnostic imaging and therapeutic radiologic services provided by the team of radiologists. This role involves ensuring clinical excellence, adherence to safety protocols, and the integration of advanced imaging techniques to support patient diagnosis and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee the clinical operations of the radiology department, ensuring all imaging services are delivered with the highest standard of patient care.
Collaborate with the Chief of Radiology and Radiology Manager/Director in strategic planning and operational management.
Mentor and lead a team of radiologists, fostering an environment of continuous education and professional development.
Review and interpret complex diagnostic images, providing expert consultations to referring physicians and healthcare providers.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols, particularly those relating to radiation safety and patient confidentiality.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering radiologic expertise to inform patient care decisions.
Lead or contribute to research projects and clinical trials aimed at advancing radiologic techniques and improving patient outcomes.
Stay updated on the latest developments in radiology and integrate new imaging technologies and procedures into departmental practice.

Education Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with board certification in Radiology.
Subspecialty fellowship training in areas such as interventional radiology, neuroradiology, or pediatric radiology may be preferred, depending on the department’s focus.
Extensive clinical experience in radiology, demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures.
Leadership experience or demonstrated potential in a radiology setting.
