Job Description: The Pharmacy Manager (MD Ayurveda) is a key healthcare professional responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the Ayurvedic pharmacy, ensuring the safe and effective use of Ayurvedic medicines and formulations. This role involves supervising the preparation, dispensing, and storage of Ayurvedic medicines, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Pharmacy Manager will also provide expertise in Ayurvedic pharmacology, work closely with healthcare providers, and contribute to the development of personalized treatment plans for patients using Ayurvedic medicines.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the operations of the Ayurvedic pharmacy, ensuring the proper preparation, storage, and dispensing of Ayurvedic medicines.
Manage inventory and procurement of Ayurvedic herbs, formulations, and products, ensuring availability and quality control.
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and quality assurance protocols in the preparation and distribution of Ayurvedic medicines.
Provide expert consultation and advice to patients and healthcare providers on the proper use of Ayurvedic medications and formulations.
Develop personalized Ayurvedic treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, taking into account the patient’s unique doshic constitution, health concerns, and treatment goals.
Monitor and assess patient outcomes related to the use of Ayurvedic medicines, making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols as needed.
Train and supervise pharmacy staff, ensuring they are well-informed about Ayurvedic pharmacology and best practices in the safe dispensing of Ayurvedic products.
Conduct educational sessions and workshops on the safe use of Ayurvedic medicines and the benefits of Ayurvedic pharmacology.
Maintain records of patient prescriptions, medication dispensation, and inventory, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Education Qualifications: MD in Ayurveda from a recognized university or institution.
Additional certification or training in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, or Ayurveda-based pharmacy management is highly desirable.
Previous experience in managing an Ayurvedic pharmacy or in a similar role is preferred.
Key Attributes: In-depth knowledge of Ayurvedic pharmacology, formulations, and therapeutic applications.
