Job Description: Physiotherapists, also known as physical therapists, are healthcare professionals who specialize in the physical treatment of patients to help alleviate pain and restore, maintain, or improve their physical mobility and function. They work with individuals of all ages, dealing with a variety of conditions related to different systems of the body, such as neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems. They employ a range of techniques including exercises, manual therapy, education, and advice to assist their patients.

Key Responsibilities: Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose patients’ physical conditions.
Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans that include manual therapy, exercises, and sometimes the use of electro-physical modalities.
Patient Care: Implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments as necessary.
Education: Educate patients, their families, and the community on how to prevent injuries and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and to develop multidisciplinary intervention strategies.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation regarding treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT): A 4-year undergraduate program providing foundational knowledge and skills in physiotherapy.
Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (MPT): A 2-year postgraduate program for specialization in areas such as orthopedics, neurology, or pediatric physiotherapy, among others. (Optional but beneficial for certain positions and specializations)
Licensure: In many countries, practicing as a physiotherapist requires passing a licensing exam and obtaining a license from the relevant regulatory body.
