Job Description: A Production Manager oversees the manufacturing process, ensuring that production is completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. The role requires managing the day-to-day operations of a production facility, optimizing workflow, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production staff.

Key Responsibilities: Production Planning and Coordination

Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
Monitor daily production processes and resolve any operational issues.
Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Team Leadership and Development

Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to meet performance standards.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Ensure adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
Quality Control and Process Improvement

Monitor production quality and ensure products meet specifications.
Identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Implement best practices for safety, quality, and productivity.
Budget and Cost Management

Develop and manage the production budget.
Control costs by optimizing resource use and minimizing waste.
Prepare reports on production performance, costs, and key metrics.
Health and Safety Compliance

Enforce safety standards and conduct regular safety audits.
Ensure the work environment is safe and compliant with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Collaboration and Communication

Liaise with other departments, such as maintenance, logistics, and quality assurance.
Provide regular updates to senior management regarding production status and potential issues.

Education Qualifications: Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (preferred).
Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with production planning, team management, and process optimization.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in production management software and ERP systems.
Understanding of quality control standards and health & safety regulations.
