Job Description

The Purchase Executive is a pivotal role within the procurement department, responsible for managing the acquisition of goods and services essential for the company’s operations. This position involves ensuring cost-effective procurement practices, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers to meet the organization’s needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms and contracts, and place purchase orders to secure necessary goods and services.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and ensure the availability of products while minimizing excess inventory.
Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolve any issues or discrepancies, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods.
Cost Management: Analyze market trends and pricing, negotiate discounts, and ensure that purchases are made within budget constraints.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information. Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Education Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement or a related role, with a proven track record of successful supplier management and cost savings.
Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are advantageous.
