Job Description: The Senior Billing Executive oversees and manages the billing operations within a healthcare organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimization of revenue cycles.
Key Responsibilities: Billing Management: Supervise billing staff, monitor billing activities, and ensure adherence to billing policies and procedures.
Revenue Cycle Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in the revenue cycle, implement strategies to enhance efficiency, and minimize billing errors.
Compliance: Stay updated with healthcare billing regulations, ensure compliance with coding standards (e.g., ICD-10, CPT), and handle billing audits and reviews.
Financial Analysis: Analyze billing data, prepare financial reports, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and support to billing team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external vendors for billing software, services, and other related matters.
Customer Service: Address billing inquiries and concerns from patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in healthcare billing and revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing practices, regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid), and coding systems.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Engage with IT and Systems Analysts to leverage technology for billing automation and data analytics.
Interface with Revenue Cycle Management vendors and consultants to optimize billing workflows and systems.
