Job Description

1. Ensuring that all pharmacy staff are knowledgeable about the department’s policies and procedures
2. Providing consultation services to patients regarding their medications and possible side effects
3. Participating in continuing education programs regarding new drugs and drug interactions
4. Performing physical examinations of patients to diagnose possible health problems that may be related to medication use
5. Recommending and implementing new technologies to improve workflow efficiency and patient care
6. Recommending changes to pharmacy procedures to improve workflow efficiency
7. Reviewing patient records to ensure proper medication dosages are being administered
8. Monitoring inventory levels of all drugs in order to ensure that there is an adequate supply available for patient care
9. Conducting research on new drugs or developing new methods for storing and administering medications to patients
