Job Description: The Volunteer Trainer in a healthcare setting is responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering training programs for volunteers. This role focuses on ensuring that volunteers are well-prepared and equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to perform their roles effectively, aligning with the organization’s standards of care and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities: Training Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the specific roles and responsibilities of volunteers within the healthcare setting.
Instructional Delivery: Conduct and facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars for volunteers, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
Materials Creation: Develop training materials, manuals, and resources that support the learning objectives and enhance the volunteers’ understanding and skills.
Assessment and Evaluation: Implement assessment tools to evaluate volunteer competency post-training, ensuring the effectiveness of training programs and making adjustments as necessary.
Continuous Improvement: Continually assess and update training programs based on volunteer feedback, changes in healthcare practices, and organizational needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with the volunteer services department and other healthcare teams to identify training needs and integrate volunteers seamlessly into the healthcare environment.
Onboarding Support: Assist in the onboarding process for new volunteers, ensuring they receive the necessary orientation to the organization and its values.

Education Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field. Specialization in adult learning or instructional design is advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience in training program development and delivery, preferably with experience in a volunteer or healthcare setting.
Skills: Strong presentation and facilitation skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in creating training materials and using educational technology.
