Job Description: Warehouse or Store Staff in the healthcare sector are crucial for maintaining the efficient operation of healthcare facilities’ storage areas, including hospital warehouses, medical supply rooms, and pharmacies. Key Responsibilities: Receiving Shipments: Inspect and accept deliveries of medical supplies and equipment, verifying quantities and checking for damaged goods.

Stock Rotation: Manage inventory by practicing first-in, first-out (FIFO) or last-in, first-out (LIFO) methods to prevent stock from expiring and reduce waste.
Distribution: Prepare and distribute supplies to various departments within the healthcare facility according to requisitions or orders.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments received, and items distributed, often using inventory management software.
Supply Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy in stock levels and identify discrepancies.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the warehouse or storage area clean and organized, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Equipment Handling: Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
Waste Management: Dispose of waste materials and expired stock in accordance with regulatory guidelines and healthcare facility policies.
Communication: Collaborate with procurement, supply chain analysts, and departmental staff to report on stock levels, backorders, or potential supply shortages.
Education Qualifications: Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Skills and Competencies: Basic computer skills for inventory management, ability to operate warehouse equipment (with proper certification if required), strong organizational skills, and physical stamina.
Certifications: Certifications for operating specific warehouse equipment, like forklifts, may be required.
