Manual Dexterity: The ability to use optometric instruments and tools precisely.
Patience and Empathy: The capacity to handle patients who might be anxious or uncomfortable with eye exams.

About the Role: This role is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare and patient welfare, particularly within the specialized field of eye care. Optometrists contribute significantly to improving patients’ quality of life by enhancing their vision and helping to prevent serious eye diseases. The work environment can vary from private optometry practices to hospitals and retail settings, offering diverse opportunities for career development and specialization in areas such as pediatric optometry, geriatric optometry, or specialty contact lens fitting. The role provides a unique blend of technical skill, detailed medical knowledge, and patient interaction, making it both challenging and rewarding.
