Job Description
- The Registrar in Obstetrics/Gynecology is responsible for managing patient care in the obstetrics and gynecology department under the supervision of senior medical staff.
- This role includes diagnosing and treating patients, managing labor and delivery, and providing postnatal and gynecological care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct examinations and assessments of OB/GYN patients to determine appropriate care and treatment plans.
- Manage the care of pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period.
- Perform minor gynecological surgeries and procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, prenatal care, postnatal care, and contraceptive options.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations to handle emergencies related to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
Education Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Valid medical license and accreditation in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
- Additional certification in areas such as maternal-fetal medicine or reproductive endocrinology may be preferred.
